How We Are Different

Our Focus

Good building practice is just the beginning. The next level approach to quality is to implement the principles of Building Science throughout the construction process. Building Science sees the house as a series of systems which all impact one another. Each system must be designed right, installed right, and maintained right to have a healthy, durable, and energy efficient home.

Energy Efficiency

Whether you want to implement a budget conscious approach or build entirely off the grid, we can accommodate your needs.

Indoor Air Quality

We take a conscientious approach to minimize indoor air pollutants and maximize fresh air.

Moisture Management

Moisture is your home’s #1 enemy. Excess moisture within the home causes mold growth and unhealthy air as well as accelerates the deterioration of building materials. In addition, mismanagement of moisture due to improper building practice can lead to extensive damage and repair costs.

What We Do Differently

Treat Framing For Mold Prior To Construction

In our many years of experience, there has never been a lumber package delivered to a job site where visible mold contamination was not present. Most builders figure this to be par for the course and just install the contaminated lumber without question. While this can be considered normal, we don’t believe it to be right or best practice. Once our homes are dried in (roof on, doors and windows installed) we perform a thorough inspection and cleaning of all lumber to remove contamination and prevent mold from being enclosed inside your walls.

Design HVAC Systems With Proper Ventilation to Constantly Bring in Fresh Air

Use ZIP System® Insulated R-Sheathing

Building a tight thermal envelope impacts the air infiltration rate as well as the insulation. Using Zip System R-Sheathing is a simple way to increase insulation and reduce air infiltration rates (leakage). It adds comfort, improves indoor air quality, and increases energy efficiency.

Energy efficient building begins with creating a tight house. Since 2011, the state of Georgia requires a blower door test be conducted on every house. The purpose of the test is to quantify the air leakage.

Build Trust Between The Homeowner And Builder

We are a builder with integrity and capability you can trust. We have all the resources to do the job, making us fully capable of meeting your project needs. We follow through on everything we say we will do. We are very intentional about building trust with our clients. Trust is built on excellent communication with transparency being key. We use a smart interactive construction software for daily reporting and showing the homeowner daily notes and photos of the process. We want to give the homeowner reasons to trust us during the beginning, middle, and end of the project.
